3 New Data Integrations Updates for Snowflake

This June is an exciting month for all Snowflake users, since various new features and updates were introduced — especially for Data Engineering and Integration. This article is giving a short overview over the three most recent novelties within the cloud provider.

So let’s look into the new features and how you can use and benefit from them[1]:

Update 1: Snowpipe Streaming Replication Support

Snowpipe Streaming is now supported with Snowflake replication in this new release. Snowflake enables the replication and failover of Snowpipe Streaming-populated tables, along with their associated channel offsets, from a source account to a target account located in different regions and across various cloud platforms. Snowpipe streaming facilitates both database replication and group-based replication.

Update 2: Anonymous Procedures

Another exciting new update is the general availability of support for the creation of anonymous procedures. An anonymous procedure is similar to a stored procedure, but it is not stored for future use.
