Thanks for your input! I think Spark is another good example of the approach and a powerful tool. But you have to keep in mind that many companies (at least in my experience) still live in a world where time-consuming extractions are made and analyzed in tools like Excel or audit tools like ACL. The world of the easy to use and scalable cloud in which data warehousing services even possess ML features is partly still quite unknown.
